What is Corosolic Acid?

Corosolic acid is derived from the extract of Loquat Leaf. Experimental results in vivo and in vitro show that
corosolic acid stimulates glucose transport and promotes the absorption and utilization of glucose by cells, thereby
achieving its hypoglycemic effect. Corosolic acid excites glucose transport similarly to insulin, so corosolic acid is
also known as phytoinsulin.

 

It is similar in structure toursolic acid, differing only in the fact that it has a 2-alpha-hydroxy attachment.
 

Corosolic acid can exist freely in plants and can also exist in the form of saponins. In plants, it often coexists with
its isomer, maslinic acid (2α-hydroxyoleanolic acid), has similar structures and chemical properties, and is difficult
